Really good idea. Why not some big artist make such kind of songs and get to the top 10 (or top 100;-)

hey Dave,
in my environmental science class we've discussed alot about how plastic bags are a danger to our planet and this video just sumed up the discussion. I think this was a great idea. especially since empire state of mind is a huge hit at the moment.

Hey Dave!
Im in an enviromental science class right now and we just covered how harmful plastic bags are to the enviroment. This video was such a great way of teaching people those harmful effects and will really encourage people to use reuseable bags! It was such a great idea!

Hey dave,

Just heard about your blog and your mission. I think that it's pretty awesome that your trying to save trash for a year, but I have to ask what are you going to do with all that trash after the year is up?

Hey Tonia,
This mission was actually undertaken and finished in 2008, my year of trash. I ended up taking all of the trash to the Museum of Trash in hartford CT where it is on permanent display along with videos and a mural. They use it to teach kids, which is what i do now most of the time. The recycling was all recycled. Thanks for checking me out and the kind words!

hey dave,
my enviornmental science class learned alot about plastic bags and their harmful effect on the enviornment this semester and i think that this video was a great idea for providing awareness to the problems plastic bags cause. I would also like to say that your mission with the 365 days of trash was extremely commendable and I'm very glad that you did something like this to bring awareness to the issue at hand.

Glad you liked it. What school are you in?

I am also a student....we go to White Oak High School, it's in Jacksonville, North Carolina. There are two classes and both of them watched your video. I enjoyed the message and so did many of my classmates. However, I was wondering what inspired you to keep all of your trash for a year?

Hey G,
The inspiration really came from me suddenly realizing that when I threw something "away" I wasn't really dealing with it, but rather assuming it was being dealt with. I just decided I needed to be more responsible and the first step was to assess what I was creating.

More people really need to know how out of control plastics really are.

Would you mind reviewing "Bag IT" the movie and helping them spread the word? This documentary is going to get a lot of peoples attention that wouldn't otherwise care. It is bright, very positive, and presents the dangers of plastics in a very humorous way that makes you really want to change things today. Thanks for helping spread the word!

This video was funny and made sense! I really like the feeling of inspiration to do better using a hit song to spread the word out!
