Vermont becomes first state to ban Fracking!

Well done VT. Way to show the oil companies that clean water and a safe future for our children can't be bought! Now the question is, will other states recognize the wisdom of your ways?

Hydraulic Fracturing. It's a means of getting natural gas out of the ground where they drill horizontally as well as vertically and pump tons of chemicals into the ground in order to release the gas easier. The chemicals leach into the ground water and people end up having cheap gas and no drinkable water. Horrible stuff. There's a quick video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzJUkzY_bVs.
