Fu of the Week

Epic Fu asked to come out to the house about a month ago and the video they shot went up today. Apparently I'm the Fu of the week, which sounds kind of cool. I'm hoping there's some sort of compostable statue that goes with that. You can also check out the shorter cut here and the whole show here.

Cool!

I don't know if this is the right place for you to discuss it, but I'm curious about the "solar tube" in your hallway.... Do you have a story on one of your other sites?

Hey Dave, where did you get your bowl?

Great video... very informative.

Our borough doesn't recycle wide-mouth plastic containers. I don't understand why, but it drives me crazy.

Also -- I want to move away from plastic bags. I basically have, except that I scoop my kitty's poop into one and toss it. Can you suggest an alternative?

Thanks! Keep up the awesome work! it's inspiring!

Hey Gina Marie,
thanks for the feedback. I got my bowl at a place called Sport Chalet. I know that they have them on closeout at REI.com right now for pretty cheap.

Weird about the wide mouthed plastic containers. Seems kind of random. Can you call them and ask? IF you do I'd love to hear what they say.

As for kitty poop, check out bio-bags. We use them for dog poop and they are made from corn and fully biodegradable/compostable.

Good luck.

Great and easy ending to the story "if everyone would just decide to not use plastic bags"...

Every time I go to the grocery I see more and more people using their own bags, which to me is a great sign. It's hard to get teens into it though, my son is always a little embarrassed even though the baggers have no problem at all.

Excellent project and I am so glad it's getting attention! Keep up the great work here.
