KNBC 4 News Piece

This goes back about a month but I'm just now getting caught up.  A pretty good little piece with the exception that my hair looks like I just woke up.  Such is life.

Dave, what you are doing here is very cool. You've inspired to me to cut out waste. We've got a compost, but I am thinking of starting a worm compost instead (I think it will breakdown faster). Also, we've got a bunch of reusable bags now, just waiting for groceries. I carried out bags of frozen fruit in my arms b/c we ran out of room in our bag and I refused to take a plastic one! My fiance got a kick out of it. I'm trying to find some cheap produce clothes, but for now, unless I'm buying a pound of snow peas, I just put the peppers, oranges, apples, etc. into the cart loose. I would never have done that a year ago! (Mostly b/c you print out the little sticker that says the weight and the total cost, but now I just stick that on one of the apples for the whole bunch and explain to the cashier.)

Anyway -- thanks for doing this! I believe that you are reaching a lot of people with this blog!

Gina Marie,

Thanks so much for your email, it really makes me feel great and I can't tell you how much it means to me to hear that my little insanity over here is making a difference.

Nice to know I'm not the only one doing the "no-plastic bag shuffle".

Consume Less, Conserve More!!!!
