Holiday Tip #7 - So Your Lights Won't Light

A lot of people are starting to put up holiday lights this weekend and alot of those strings are going to inexplicably not work. Fret not dear friend, help is on the way. No, I have no idea what's wrong with them, but if you finally give up on them all together, don't trash them, send them off to this company. They'll recycle the strings and send you a 15% off coupon good towards some brand spankin' new LEDs. Of course, if you just decide that holiday lights aren't really fitting into your sustainability plans, no need to buy new lights, but you can still give that coupon to a friend as an early gift right?

Thanks to joynodoubt for bringing this to my attention.

Dave,

Just wanted to let you know that I've been following your blog for months now, and sending the URL to a variety of friends and family members. Consistently the comments I hear from people who do actually take the time to read it revolve around the fact that not only are you really putting serious efforts into sustainability, but that you seem to respect the process that people move through, that each step a person takes is progress and will lead to another step, and that you treat the people who post, even with different opinions, with respect.

Thank you for sharing this adventure and for being a good example of learning as you go.

Best wishes,

Kay

Wow Kay,
Thanks for the kind words, they really mean a lot to me, especially as it validates what i've been trying to do for long time. Life isn't about judging others, it's about judging ourselves. We should all celebrate our little victories and work towards the next step we can take personally rather than the next step someone else has already taken themselves.

Make sure t tell your friends to sign up for the newsletter. Its gonna be good!
